Kitchen Systems Inspections

  • Check for visible signs that system has not actuated, tampered with or leaked
  • Safety the system for inspection
  • Check regulator test date
  • Check all piping and conduit for rigidity
  • Check & verify all discharge nozzles are free from blockage and properly aimed per manufactures guidelines
  • Replace all fusible links
  • Dry test system for automatic actuation
  • Dry test system with manual release at cylinder and or remote location
  • Check operation of gas shutoff and or electrical shutoff with a manual reset relay.
  • Confirm the fuel shutoff is in the “On” position.
  • Weigh or replace fire system actuation cartridges as required
  • Check all nozzles for proper type and caps and covers
  • Check condition of extinguishing chemical and quantity
  • Verify filter types in hood
  • Verify the proper decals are installed at the remote pull station and hood
  • Reconnect system and remove system locking tools
  • Complete restaurant inspection hood report and attach inspection tags and service labels
  • Note: Angel Fire and Safety Specialist will use a manufacturers manual per type of system during the preventative maintenance and inspection of a fire suppression system.
